Frequently Asked Questions

Is Anesthesia Safe?

Anesthesia is considered safe when administered by trained professionals in appropriate medical settings. We take numerous precautions to ensure patient safety, such as conducting pre-operative assessments to identify any potential risk factors, closely monitoring vital signs during the procedure, and having emergency equipment readily available.

What emergency procedures are in place should a serious complication occur?

AOI’s highly skilled staff have all the necessary emergency drugs, equipment and training to care for you in the event of a complication.

Who provides the anesthesia during my procedure?

Experienced Board Certified/Eligible Anesthesiologists. AOI also provides ICU/ER trained nurses that are critical care trained to assist you in recovery after your procedure.

Why choose office-based procedures versus hospital?
Safety: As the absolute priority, our team ensures safety by utilizing only experienced, trained staff members along with state-of-the-art equipment. This allows us to recreate the operating room experience within the safety and comfort of your physician’s office.

Convenience: Enjoy the convenience and privacy of your doctor’s office with the staff you know. Avoid countless hours wasted at the hospital with in-office procedures performed promptly, allowing you to leave with a chaperone approximately 30 minutes after the procedure.

Cost: While a patient’s financial responsibility varies by insurance provider, in-office procedures typically cost a fraction of what you would pay at an ASC or hospital.
